Target killing is one of the biggest issues in Pakistan
which has been around for decades, The target killing happen in all the large
cities of Pakistan, like on Karachi, Pashawer and Quetta.
Two live was taken by unknown person at Noor Majjed Kansi
road Quetta evening on 18 July 2017. Source said that, the business man was targeted
by gunman but unfortunately his accountant and one passerby of him were killed.
Ironically, the injured were surrounded by people but none of them stepped in
to help the injure, though they were injured and crying for help, instead of
helping them out, all the onlooker were taking pictures and making movies.
The question arises why people do not help target killing’s
victim? Because police and other organizations grill a person come forward and
help the victim and take them to hospital that is why no one wants to put
himself/herself in difficult situation.
Reason being that law of the state does not support or
encourage people to come to help injured, if any person who take courage and
take injured to hospital, law says that a FIR should be launched before any
treatment could be given to injured, which is quite difficult to understand,
moreover, the helping person also has to appear in court for testimony, which
is quite discouraging.
So need of the hour is that there should be change in law
and it should be made in such a way that people could come forward to help
injured, and be appreciated rather dragged into long and never ending legal
formalities and at the same time, awareness should also be given to general
public about their duty and responsibility for helping those who need their
help.
